At first I did paper/whiteboard sketches, but after the general direction was established with the team, I moved on to Axure and started blocking out the main elements. This resulted in a rough clickable prototype that indicated how the basic functionality would work. The client wanted a very app-like experience and it was challenging to meet their requirements while still ensuring that the mobile experience worked.
