We chewed through the specifics of the RFP and targeted the things we needed to focus on. Next we put on our farmer hats, roughed out some strawman personas on the whiteboard to help us stay focused and then looked at the current New Holland site to identify areas of improvement. We looked at high level things like the navigational structure, the nuts and bolts of the product detail pages and most everything in between.

After JPL approved the sketches, I then moved on to making tight wireframes in Omnigraffle. These wireframes were then used to guide the design team as they mocked up the proposed screen designs.
